Maury Markowitz
I'm seeing a number of products in backoffice->Catalog->Products that simply can't be found in the front office. All of these products are enabled, visible, etc. Other products from the same vendors work fine, with (apparently) all the same settings. Any ideas?! NemoPS
HI, WHat happens if you try to input the product id directly? (so disabling friendly urls?)
Maury Markowitz
Ahh, I think I see where you're going with this… I turned off friendly URL and did a search. Still nothing. I guessed at an URL using product ID (can you do that?) and that got me a 404 as well. I suspect this isn't working, but maybe I have the format wrong? Can you copy me a sample URL? NemoPS
Well, it's hard to find a product by guessing, try looking for a specific Id you're sure exists (just have a look at some in the BO)
Maury Markowitz
Ok one of the working ones is ID 290 and one of the failing ones is ID 280. Now how do I construct a front-office url that looks up that ID?

Maury Markowitz
OMG I'm such a doofus! The entire problem was that the *default* category was turned off. Why was the selected default turned off? Because I selected two categories, and I clicked the turned off one first!
