[Solved] Installing Prestashop in same directory as a Wordpress network installation

Hi all

 

I am installing Prestashop in a domain that is already being used as a hub for a network of Wordpress websites. The wordpress files are already in the root of the domain and can't be moved. What is the best way to install Prestashop alongside the existing wordpress installation, and to have the Prestashop site display instead of the wordpress site? Can I just replace the wordpress index file with the Prestashop index file?

Can't you link your domain to another physical directory?

I agree with PascalVG, if you want your PrestaShop store to be used on the domain that is used by the wordpress site. Then change the directory of the wordpress site to another domain. Then install PrestaShop on the domain that was previously used by the wordpress site.

Thanks for your replies, I have found out that if I replace the wordpress index file then the network sites will break, so it wouldn't work.

Unfortunately the wordpress files can't be moved once you have set up the multisite feature, so looks like I will need to start all over again. Thanks anyway guys.
