Hi everyone,

The person who set up our e-commerce shop, hosting, and design has disappeared after taking our money for our project.

This person is nowhere to be found and our domain name as well as our hosting service will soon expire.

We have no way to save our data because inside our back-office, we do not have full access, such as for "DB Backup" or any module. We only have access to add products, categories, manage sales, clients, etc. but no access to make fundamental changes on the site.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Our Prestashop version is 1.4.7.3 for this site.

No, we only have access to the back office, and it is not even the full admin. We already lost our domain, entire database, and hosting access to one of our websites because this person that was hired has now disappeared...we're afraid this will happen again.

you may want to contact your hosting company to get all your hosting credentials so that you have full control of your db and files....

I agree, most hosting providers will work something out with you, even if you are not the one who registered it. It may take a couple of calls. If you are the registered owner of the domain then you will have a far easier time.

exactly, I totally agree with you Benjamin. It's your host and your domain - you pay for them, so the law is on your side! :)
