sphil876
Ok- we've now been working on this 2 weeks, with 24+ hours put in in the last few days. We spent over 6 hours today trying to figure out how to get the shipping to work on this cart. We finally just set up a work around for the Connect to USPS module (that comes with the cart) by creating all new carriers for each of our different sized boxes and we uninstalled the module. We finally got shipping to show up on the front of the site by doing this- now we're running into 2 main problems. 1- Carts that fall outside a weight range are still allowed to chose the lighter weight range. For instance- we have the following weight ranges set up First Class 0-0.8 pounds Padded Flat Rate Envelope- 0-2.5 pounds Medium Flat Rate Box- 0-7.5 pounds Large Flat Rate Box- 0-15 pounds Our product is 0.024 pounds. If you order a qty of 40 of this product you would have a total weight of .96 pounds, and first class shipping should fall off as a shipping option, but it doesn't. I did try changing the weight of this item to 10# and when I added multiple to the cart- First Class shipping wasn't available, however with multiple items Padded Flat Rate envelope and Medium Flat rate box should also both fall off and they don't. 2- I split Canada from the US- so I could charge more for Canadian shipping- but it's also still just giving the US shipping prices for my Canadian customers. Any help would be much appreciated as I'm to my breaking point and ready to trash the entire cart and site. Thanks!
PascalVG
Hi Sphil, A few questions: 1) What PS version do you use? 2) Just double-double check: Did you select Shipping->Carrier->(one of the specific carriers): Out-of-range-behaviour to: "Disable Carrier" 3) Can you provide some screenshots of your shipping, carriers info (detailed, per carrier), your ranges per carrier, allowed zones/countries etc. 4) A link to your site would be helpful (and the name of a sample product with its weight to play with) Let us know, (and don't give up yet...) pascal
sphil876
Thank you pascal! We HAD mismarked the Shipping Carriers- not to disable but to Highest range I think it is. So I have that fixed and now it's working properly. I think we had just looked at it for too many hours by the time we got it as far as it was and must have missed that. I'll grab some screen shots of the zones, countries, and group setting in a bit so I can now fix Canada and have it charge correctly. It's showing up in the shipping area with it's own price. The site name is OnceUponaYard.com
PascalVG
I know the frustrating feeling that you KNOW you must have overlooked something obvious, and just can't find it... Therefore, knowing myself, even when things seem so obvious, I try to ask them, as I myself have too often overlooked them :-) Glad I could help with this. Look forward to the screenshots about Canada, and hope that either making the shots already clears some mist, or that one of us here can help you out, pascal
PascalVG
Just a general idea what can go wrong with canada/US problem. Did you split up the North America ZONE into USA and CANADA (Are those the only two countries you serve?). By default, they're both located in North America, so when you select this zone for a carrier, it doesn't distinguish between the two countries, it serves them both. To solve this, make two new ZONES, one USA and one CANADA, and create two different carriers each with it's own prices and each has only one zone: either USA or CANADA. Hope this helps a little. If you did this already, please send screenshots indeed... (Zones, and countries US and Canada detailed info too please) pascal
