Out of Stock Product with Stock Management OFF in Prestashop 1.4.9

How do I make a product "Out of Stock" if I have stock management off. I want the product to still display but not allow the customer to order. If I uncheck the "available for order" box on a product it almost works however it does not show "out of stock" text, price or my social share links up where the "Add to Cart" button would be on the product page, please help.

 

Is this possible?

I'm trying to avoid my client from updating the quantity of a product over time, they never run out, they are the manufacturer.
