dropbop
I have already tried this in globals.css and every time I change a width something else moves out of place on my site.I am trying to set my left column to 220px. I have already edited the images for the boxes so they are 220px.I will probably have to wided my whole site to achieve a wider left column width. The problem is that the Category text in the category is using 2 lines of text and I think it would be much neater looking I could wided the boxes so the text does not get pushed down a line.I have been searching the forum for last 2 days and am just comming up empty. So if anyone can help I would be very very happy.
jhnstcks
Hello DropbopIif you increase the width of your left colum, which then makes your page wider than what you have it set to, then it will always wrap it underneath (this usually happens with IE6 as it doesnt like padding+margins being used together). You have a few choices, increase the whole page width and increase both left and right columns to match, or decrease the width on your center and right column to compensate for the increased width of the left column.Personally I would increase the whole page width, then increase the column widths. dropbop
Cheers for the reply John. Not chatted in a while, hope all is well.Yeah, I agree that widening the whole thing is the best idea.I have been tinkering with it a bit and I just need to try and get the margins right as the center column kinda leans to the right a bit. But im sure I will sort it out before long. Thanks again John.regardsDB
