Having problem in changing themes

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am new to Prestashop and I am upgrading my site to "indigo" theme, here is a URL(http://www.indigoflexstore.ruedutemplate.com/fr/ ). I installed the theme on the website and now it is showing the following when I am trying to open it

"Server error

The website encountered an error while retrieving. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

Here are some suggestions:

I followed the following steps .

1.Please install the module ’’themeinstallator

2.I upload all the zip file of indigo flex store in the module option.

3.I configure the theme and selected it

4. Regenerated the thumbnails

Any help will be really appreciated.I am trying to figure out from yesterday but can't till now.

Thanks in advance

ahh you pasted an url to the template demo version, it isn't your website? ( http://www.indigoflexstore.ruedutemplate.com/fr/ )

sorry its my mistake.

anyway, you pasted also url to your website here: " Reload this webpage later. click on "reload" ;)

go to the preferences -> images and remove all images from list, then import template once again.

have you got an access to the error log? by this i mean .txt file where you can find php / apache errors

(im asking because your website ["Reload" button] shows internal server error)

i removed the images. Now how I will regain it?

I don't made the backups.

Yes it is compatible with it.

Is there any tutorials of prestashop or video from where I can learn how to upgrade from one to other?

I told you i am new to this world of prestashop

Well, you don't said that this is live shop, so it may be problematic.

You should create images with sizes and names listed on image you attached.

Maybe the best way to "import" theme is to install it manually (without an "installator")

i deleted all the images .

from where i recover those?

is it inside the folder somewhere in the prestashop?

and how to install it manually?

I think i installed it manually as I uploaded it by step by step

  1. upload your theme to the: /themes/ directory. Upload it as an directory.
  2. go to the preferences -> images and add all images which is necessary for your theme.
  3. If your theme contains some modules, upload all of them to the /modules/ directory.
  4. Go to modules section in back office and install all of new modules. Turn off unwanted modules.
  5. If it is necessary - change position of modules in modules -> positions section
  6. after all of steps described above - go to prefereces -> themes and select your new theme.

I did exactly the same which you said, i logged in the ftp "filezilla" and did all the process but still it doesn't work.

One thing i found weird is that even when I deleted the theme (indigo_flexible_store) from the FTP server still it was showing that the "indigo_flexible_store" is selected.

Even if I put it to default theme it doesn't work either.

Please do help me .

you can send private message. I will use this access informations only for this issue, no other persons will have got an access to it - only me

it's your decision, we can try to solve it here, without an access to store

I think it is not free.

Other thing is that is it because of problem in the version?

The prestashop which I am using is prestashop_1.5.4.1 and the Indigo Flexible Store" is for PrestaShop version 1.5.

I had no problem in uploading it in local host but i am having problem in the live site.

Even now the live editing is not working there now?

I m going to delete everything on the FTP server and will put the package of indigo again and will see it and i will upload the prestashop 1.5.0.5 as I think it is version problem.

What do you think?

Thanks

i was using that one which u told me but it was not working so i changed to 1.5.0.5 as maybe the template is compatible with it.

I followed the following step as done in local host

1.I uploaded the whole file of prestashop in the www of the site by using the FTP server.

Now when I m trying to write the URL of my website it is not showing anything , and I have the user name and password of the mysql51-72.perso which is being used.

Can you please tell me the steps how to make it function from the scratch

I should make the database now but I don't have any idea how to make the data base.I did thing in local host and using wamp server but doing on live site is tough and different.
