There is 1 error You must register at least one phone number

I get this error when I try and register on my website but there is no field to add the phone number into. I am using 1.5.3.1.

Hi, in your Preferences > Customers and Deselect the phone checkbox. Does that help?

It does help in that it lets people register however I would like people to register with their phone number.

I have the same problem, any idea to remove this error? Telephone number is required for shipment.

If you want people to be required to provide a phone number when registering and for the phone number fields to be visible on the registration page, in the admin panel go to Preferences>Customers, set the option Registration process type to Standard and the Phone number option to Yes.
