precisebusinessadvice
Hello, I have a problem with the prestashop stripe module. I have set it up in the back end with the correct api passwords etc, however when i go an run a test sale, the module is not there in the checkout option the standard paypal, cheque, bank wire, and google wallet are there but not stripe. I also have an account with paymill, and this too is not showing. currencies are enabled for both modules but not sure why they are not showing. Im on 1.5.4 at the moment

benjamin utterback
Hi, I think the currency restriction boxes are not there because Stripe only works for customers in the United states, with dollars. Where is your business located?
precisebusinessadvice
Hi Ben, We are in the UK but are on Stripes UK BETA programme (one of the lucky selected few) so currency would be £ not $ Yes, I can confirm that the problem is that the stripe module at the moment only supports $ and not £ or any other currency. Do you know when this will be changed with it being a prestashop module because as far as i am aware stripe is iniminant to launch in the UK However, I can't work out as to why the paymill module version is not working as this was working but has disappeared from the payment options
benjamin utterback
Hi precisebusinessadvice, I'm actually not aware of the paymill module. It came with PrestaShop?
precisebusinessadvice
Its out via github https://github.com/P...mill-PrestaShop it works fine, just need to manually ftp the files into the modules... if you want a sneek peek heres the pictures solved the problem by reinstalling module
benjamin utterback
Well that is just awesome. I'm glad you have it working. Could I mark this thread as SOLVED now? Are there any other questions pertaining to this thread?
precisebusinessadvice
yes sure mark as SOLVED - at least it good for us Europeans to have another option other than paypal without the hefty monthly merchant fees
benjamin utterback
Hi precisebusinessadvice, I totally agree, it is a great benefit to have other payment modules. Thank you for choosing PrestaShop!
newleafinc
Glad I found this thread because I'm seeing exactly the same thing with Stripe BUT I'm in the US. All my localization and currency settings are US/Dollar, etc. Yet, no Stripe. Any ideas?
schroop
I am having exactly the same issues as the OP - also the same problem with the restrictions as per the jpg image in the above. As I understand Stripe have just opened a UK office and should be supporting £ now and € also. I am very keen on solving this issue - I have had no luck as yet. I will try to contact Stripe UK and will post any updates if I get any. Does anyone have any further ideas on solving this?
benjamin utterback
Hi, make sure to download the latest version and install it on your store. https://github.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop-modules Click the download zip icon. Extract the zip, open up the modules, find the stripejs module and install it via FTP.. Make sure to have a backup of your sql database and PrestaShop files and delete the older stripe module. Let me know how it goes!
schroop
Thanks for the reply Benjamin The version I installed is v0.9.5 and the one on GitHub is v0.9.4 so I think I have the latest version. I will try the v0.9.4 and see if that works.
schroop
It seems to have installed Stripe correctly but there is no visible text that appears in the Choose Your Payment Method block on the checkout page (I can see it is there in the module when I go to Live View Edit) There is text and an image from the pay by cheque, pay by wire and PayMill (which I have also installed to see if this works easier) but nothing from Stripe. See the image attached below Where do I go to edit the text that appears here and add a logo so that users can select the Stripe option? I have looked but can't find it - I am using a them called Liquid from ElationBase if that makes a difference? Thanks
precisebusinessadvice
Hi Schroop, Sorry I have been away this weekend so been unable to log in until now - the reason why stripe does not show is that the module installed only supports dollars or canadian dollars. Basically, if your shop currency is in £'s it wont display, but if it is in $'s it will display - I recently had the same problem and solved the solution so i can do it for you for a fixed price of £50 Let me know Cheers Jamie

This is what I needed to change to enable it to work in GBP. Hope that helps
