Install prestashop on local machine ( not fresh install )

I have a website cosmeticall.ro and i want to install it on a local machine i really need help doing this asap cuz it has to be done untill tomorrow please help me.....

copy all files from your FTP to your HD and prepare a database backup.

 

1) import your database do the mysql on your local machine

2) go to the config / settings.inc.php file and change database parameters

3) go to the ps_shop_url table and change domains to localhost

I`m sooo new to this, thanks for the help i most likely won`t gonna make it, I need this website for a school project, if i copy only the public_html will this work?

nope, you need database also.

moreover - you need also http & mysql services installed on your OS

God this is horrid, i need to present the project on a CD and the backup database downloaded from the cpanel ( domain provider ) is 900 mb ;D

better idea is to: open phpmyadmin, select your database with prestashop - export only this table (not whole database)
