yebberdog
Please hope someone can help.I have had a site running well with Prestashop 1.1.0.5 and I have recently tried to update it to version 1.2 following the upgrade advice in the forums, however I am experiancing some problems. The advice on upgrading involves renaming the directory of your existing site and then uploading the latest versions, undertaking some changes and file transfers for the backup and then renaming the new directy to that of the old.The problem I have is that my Prestashop installation is in the root, therefore there is no separate directory e.g. /store ettc to rename.Do I just follow the upgrade instrustions and then erase or overwrite all the old files in the route with the new installation files in the directory??Also I have backed up my database from the back office, however how do you restore the database should you need to if the upgrade goes wrong.Any advice would be welcomed. Many thanksJason
Andrew H
I have the same query -the instructions refer to renaming a directory. Mine also is in the root.Any suggestions for the safest way to replace files in root??thanks
TropischBruin
Instead of renaming dor the following:Backup the files by downloading them via FTP to your local harddisk. Then delete all the files from your server except the img directory.
