dandareuk
Hi I have just changed the category names and they are showing the changes on the front end but still listed with the old names in the admin? I refreshed and cleared out cache and so on but they won’t change? I also added a new category as a root category and this is showing in the admin categories but not on the shop front end? Being new to prestashop it’s probably something very silly I am doing but help would be appreciated Dan

vekia
Maybe it's a language problem? What language you use in front end and what in back office? Maybe you need to change names for all languages available in your store
David15
I was experiencing the exactly same problem, but thanks to your advice it is solved. Thanks a lot!
77Poppies
I had the same problem. Changed the category name but it wasnt updating properly. To solve this i click on the Edit button of the category. Copy the correct category name. Click on the UK flag logo to change it to the USA flag and then paste the correct category name there too. www.military-kit.co.uk Edited July 23, 2013 by 77Poppies (see edit history)
vekia
maybe it's related to the multistore feature? you use it?
77Poppies
I am not using the multistore feature. I have two languages active in my prestashop so i think i could delete the USA language in Localization> Languages and simply have the one UK language and i would not get the problem of "Category names wont change" but i am not deleting anything in case i break the store.
