several products one description, how to?

I have several products that basically share the same description under each categor.y how can i easily manage a common description for all these products under the same category?

 

managing a common description under a category can reduce the load on the sql server and it can easily be modified and have the modification reflected on all the products at once.

Why not set the products as having attributes and just have one product page? What you are wanting to do there really is not an easy way to do.

If i set product attributes i will really be having just one product on my website...

the products are all the same kind they just have several designs..

I guess i will just reduplicate the product description then, is there any way I can bulk edit product descriptions at once?.

Hi,

 

I think that without any development you can't do this. You can create new entity(with new table in DB) for it, and assign product with it.

I agree with Alexander. I'd create a module, hook it to the product page and add some text, so that it's the same for all products

I can't develop any modules, i don't speak code so have no idea how to do that

 

and if i wanted to add attributes, can i make the attribute selector as small thumbnails of the product images?

It can probably be done, but requires some heavy modifications. I suggest you hire a coder for that
