SYSTEM AND PERMISSIONS - Error stopping upgrade

Recommended Posts

Having problems upgrading yet again....

SYSTEM AND PERMISSIONS

One of the folders (IMG) is showing up as red (error). Even though its on 777.

Email from my hosting company:

Hi,

There is something interesting going on with this account. The permissions
for "My Presta Folder"/img are all correct. If I change the permissions of img
folder as 755, the website settings shows 'mails' folder as not writable.

If I change the 'mails' folder permissions to 755, the website settings will
show 'mails' as writable but 'modules' as not writable.

If I set 755 for 'modules' folder, it will still show as writable but the
"themes/prestashop/lang" as not writable.

So it seems the "System and permissions" option at
http://www."My Site"/install/ is showing
something incorrect. I'd suggest that you run this by the developers of the
software as it seems to be a problem with the software reading the folder
permissions correctly.

Should you require any further information or if we can be of assistance
with anything else please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Kind regards,

Can anyone help or contact the developers about this?

I'm having the same problem. The check does not display the correct folders. However, after setting all folder permissions according to the specification the update/installation check still prompts for the /IMG directory.

Have anyone found a solution for this matter?

Regards
PJ

Does your upgrade/installation still work? Even with the "Img" folder showing up incorrectly?

Reported this as a bug, but they cancelled it stating its my hosting server's configuration at fault. My Host says otherwise, bit of a mess...

Yes, I was able to continue the update with the /IMG-folder reported as red.

Thanks,
