Search Module, fix serach

Hi gurus,

 

I want to do a very simple modification in search module, I need to fix the search field and mantain during all session navigation.

 

For example: If you put Ipod in search field, all the navigation since this moment should be inside Ipods.

 

I think in session variable but I don't know where and how I need to get this session variable (inside search.php?)

 

Can somebody give light on this?
