otts
I used the search feature to search for a related topic but I didn't find any results. My issue is this. When a customer attempts to make a purchase with a credit card, they are also asked to enter a PIN number. There is no PIN number for a CC to my knowledge and this is also what customers are complaining about. Eventually, they just abort the attempted purchase because they cannot complete the transaction due to lack of this PIN number. Can someone point me in the right direction as to removing this option in the back end, or possibly what I need to mod to remove this aggravating feature. I will also add that my site never used to ask for a PIN in the past. It recently just started doing this. I haven't updated the Prestashop software, so I am not sure what could have caused this since no changes were made. Thank you in advance, any help is appreciated. Dh42
By pin number do you mean the 3 digit [spam-filter] number?
otts
No, actually it is asking for a 4 digit PIN as in a debit card. I originally thought that it mean the 3 digit PIN as well, but my customers told me that it asked for a 4 digit PIN. This had me very confused. Dh42
What gateway does the module work with? Amex uses a 4 digit pin with their cards, it is printed on the front of the card. Some European processors have different requirements as well.
otts
I see. I am also wondering if the issue might not be with the company who built my payment gateway? I had them design a custom payment module that works with Prestashop. However, they told me that they have not updated the module. Also, the module is asking for a 4-digit PIN regardless of the card that is being used. Side note, my company is in the U.S. and we only accept U.S. transactions. Thanks again for offering suggestions, I really appreciate it. I am going to explore a little further and see what I can come up with.
