Language change changes slider pictures to default 1.5.4

Hi,

 

In version 1.5.4 when the default language is changed (in this case from US English to UK English) the pictures in the Homeslider all change to the default apple products rather than those I have uploaded. Where can I point this back please?

Try to open this folder:

 

- your_eshop/modules/homeslider/images

 

You should see the all uploaded images there. Try to rename them as necessary. (you will overwrite the "apple products")

I think this was more of a caching problem. When I first setup the slider I was using US English. When I swapped to UK English the default apple pictures were being displayed instead of the ones I uploaded. Today this has miraculously corrected itself, perhaps due to me clearing the cache late yesterday. I am using prestashop 1.5.4.

 

I did find that in the database there is a table called homeslider_slides_lang which stores the name of the image displayed against the language installed (language indicated by an index reflecting the order they were installed in localizations>languages), so if need be you could 'force' this by editing this table. The pictures need to be in the modules/homeslider/images directory though. The structure of this table appears to have changed in version 1.5.4 (from 1.5.3.1).

 

So after a change always clear your cache...
