LavienRose
Hi! I'm new to PrestaShop and I'm looking forward to make it fulfill all my needs. I'm in charge to create a website which can sells in-stock and to-be-ordered-customizable furniture items (sofas, chairs, coffee tables etc.). Each sofa should have three main categories of coatings (plastic, texture, something else) in which each one should have its own image. Not to mention that the to-be-ordered ones could be 2 seats, 3 seats, 2 seats with left or right corner.. and so on. So far I found this website http://www.luxe-sofa.com/ (the one I took the screenshot above from) which already does all I am in need for, but I cannot figure what to do on my own either reading the merchant guide or playing around in the back-end. I'm assuming some of these options are available through add-ons so I was in hope someone here with more experience than me would be able to address me to purchase/free-download the right ones. Thank you very much for your attention.
Dh42
You have to add them as attributes to the products. Prestashop can only natively hand a few thousand combinations per product, so keep that in mind. Most of the work in the screenshot you sent is actual styling of how the attributes are displayed.
LavienRose
Thank you very much for your answer. I assume I can add some jquery script in the template file to edit the display of these. I'm also assuming retrieving the right images for the coatings is something I have to do using the values of the attributes. Keeping looking around I found this one which seems to do what I am looking for, http://addons.prestashop.com/en/front-office-features-prestashop-modules/6885-product-attributes-decorator.html&utm_source=v1trunk_tab At the worst it will be a mis-purchase, but I will give it a try! Valérie Assetskaya
Hi, Please, pay attention that the module doesn't marked as compatible with 1.5. version. It should be enough to specify Is_color attribute and it will be possible than to upload textures to it. Best regards.
LavienRose
Hi there! I paid attention to that and before purchasing I sent an email and asked about compatibility issues Thank you for remarking it in case I might have not seen it! In case I will receive a negative answer from them I will do as you say and hope for good I will manage to do it right! I thought it could have been a bit more easy but I guess I just lack of experience with this CMS, so yeah, I'm open to all the suggestions. Merci beaucoup!
