How do I stop images from being stretched in the slider.

Recommended Posts

I see, the size of the images need to match the size of the slider.

Thanks Vekia.

Slider width is much greater than it's height and sometimes pictures look stretched. I am no pro but I have found a really simple solution to this problem, although there probably are better solutions this one is simple and doesn't require professional tools.

All you need is Paint and MS Office picture manager (or any other program with "crop" and "resize" option)

1. Open the picture you want to upload into the slider with Paint.

2. Put it in the middle of the Paint's working surface and save it like that.

3. picture will now have a white background.

4.Next open it with the MS Office picture manager and click "edit picture" option

5. Crop it and resize if necessary to fit the slider

6.Upload it

This only works with the pictures without background or the ones with the white background. If it has any other background there are several websites where you can easily upload the picture and remove the background or do it yourself in photoshop or even paint itself.

Adding a white surface helps in the process of the resizing as it increases the overall surface that is being stretched so the actual picture gets stretched by a minor % and if done properly the result is great!
