susb8383
Hi All, I'm a longtime ZenCart user. But I'm seriously considering moving all my carts over to Prestashop. I went as far as to download 1.5 and install it on a new domain. BUT...one reason I'm leaving ZenCart is because the customer has to have an account to make a purchase. Their choices are to create a new account or to log in. After the default Prestashop install, I started poking around and pretending I wanted to buy something. And i found the same thing; it asked me to log in or create an account. Is having an account required by Prestashop or is there a way around that? I'm really looking for a cart that lets the customer just fill in the credit card info without creating an account first. Thanks, Susie
Carlsen
Hi Susie, In the Prestashop adminpanel you can enable Guest Checkout. This will allow visitors to order without creating an account. If a visitor purchases as a guest, and later wants to have a full account, the guest can simply press "Convert to account" button. This button is located in the guest-order-tracking page. vekia
You can use GuestCheckout exactly as carlsen mentioned above. go to the preferences -> orders and you've got there something like: put this option to on, then your customer will be able to order without having an accout in your store
