Import database issue after installing PS 1.5.4

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, thanks for reading this,

here's my issue :

I changed the location of my shop to go on prod today, changing the BASE_URL didn't work and kinda broke the shop but i think it came from the server or own mistake.

Anyway, i decided to do a fresh install of the new version, and import the older database (PS 1.5.3) in the new one (PS 1.5.4) .

Everything worked, i got back my pictures, my conf, my products etc... but the shop doesn't seem to 'communicate' with the database(i can't add products to cart [nothing happens], i can't create new account, can't login to a customer account [authentication fails])

The weird thing is that everything works, as if all the SELECT this were right, but every other operations like INSERT were not.

I searched and didn't find an answer to that :/

Does anybody know if i missed something ? if there is a field to change in the DB, or something to configure inside the BO ?

This is my first prestashop so i'm not familiar with all the connections in the database, can anybody help ?

Thank you in advance,

Ok so i thought that database coherence stayed between 'minor' update like 1.5.3 to 1.5.4, and changed only from major versions like 1.4 to 1.5.

It appears that some tables are missing in 1.5.4 (like ps_alias, and i thought it would give me an error while trying to import a different version of the DB).

So,

I reinstalled PS 1.5.3 and reimported my DB, it works :) Next step, upgrade to 1.5.4

Anyway, thanks for the reply :)

-First of all, I tried to install 1.5.4.0 but Product images aren't uploading and displaying while Categories images are.

-On the other hand, I could try to go back to my previous installation but keep showing SQL Bad Request.

Any help?

Thanks!

First, I tried to Upgrade and had error 28 so I tried a new installation but can't upload product images. So I thought the last option was to use my previous version and it's when I get the SQL bad request. Any solution?

The fact is that I'm using the back Up but it keeps showing the sql bad request, I took a look on the settings.inc.php and my db user, db password and db server are OK. Should I do anything with the COOKIE_KEY_ and COOKIE_IV? Please help!!! :-(

Ok I'm back to my previous installation and upgraded succesfully to PrestaShop 1.4.10.0.

Now I have the same problem that made me want to upgrade to the last version. Invalid date error when I try to see some orders.

Don't know what to do. Please help!! :-(
