Shipping / Carriage

Hello!

 

I have just upgraded my site to PS 1.4.9.

 

I am having some difficulty with Carriage. I have customers who put items in the cart - so far so good. But when it comes to carriage I cannot avoid carriage working on price or weight. I need to have something that allows the customer to know the costs of shipping by distance - via a postcode.

 

I have put in numerous 'Carriers'. So I have:

E - London Postcode

NW - London Postcode

SE - London Postcode

 

I have set fees for these. There are many more postcodes, but the customer is to select a carrier for where they want the item to be delivered. The customer will have to go through the list!

 

Is there any way this can be made easier?
