I have only one product to sell. I need to change the look of the home page of the shopping. Removing all side bars. Can anyone help

in this case you should edit .tpl files located in your theme/your_theme/ directory

moreover - you will probably need also change css styles located in global.css file in your theme dir

I'm definately a novice here. I 'm using the default theme. I can't seem to customize my site. How do I remove the home page store picture. The contact info won't change.

you need to modify template files of your theme, go to the :

 

themes/default/header.tpl

themes/default/footer.tpl

 

and edit html code of this files, you know something about html?

Good morning,

If you are only selling one product then perhaps a simple way would be to disable all left and right column modules.

Then go to the home text editor module and stretch that to 100% or xxx px

You would then have a Header, Centre column and a footer, keep your cart in the header

You can use the text editor to advertise your product

You can add sliders to advertise your product

You can do all sorts of things
