Try these procedures if possible.

If u have added custom css or js to the header , try minimizing all using www.csscompressor.com/

and js using http://jscompress.com/.

Before jumping into all these check ur sites speed point using https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights

then try minimizing ur css , js and all then check ur sites performance.

Also follow the below links too

Important :- Remember to take back ups before doing all these.

Hi , Hav you followed the procedures at http://www.prestashop.com/blog/en/10-best-tips-to-speed-up-your-prestashop-store-3/ ?

Assuming that its done. Compressing a css or js file means removing all white spaces and unwanted lines etc and reduce the over all size of js and css. So to increase the speed further, it will be great if u compress all files. But beware that you need to take the back ups of all your css and js files before jumping in. Otherwise there may be a chance that this process ruins every thing.

If will be useful if you use google page checker at https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights . I believe this tool has been moved to google analytics. So you can find it there too.

Use an online compressor http://www.freeformatter.com/url-encoder.html#ad-output. ( Look under Code Minifiers). Copy paste your first css and generate its compressed version. Replace it with original. Now check the speed in google page checker. Does this increased anything? Now take second css and do the same process for both css and js files.

Check this by turning off and on your prestashop cache. Check all features are working. This will drastically increase the speed of site if you use it along with http://www.prestashop.com/blog/en/10-best-tips-to-speed-up-your-prestashop-store-3.

Again warning you to take backups before proceeding.

Good Luck Regards
