MulitStore Module Config

Recommended Posts

I am trying to setup my first multistore but have run into a bit of an issue, I have made custom modifications to my "modules/blockcategories/blockcategories.tpl" file as I wanted to add some static links on this menu. However I will want these links to go to different locations on the 2nd store in my multistore.

Likewise for my footer menu, I am using a footer module and in "modules/blockhtmlfooter/blockhtmlfooter.tpl I have created some static links. But for store 2 I need these links to link to store 2 pages.

Is it possible to have different categories.tpl and footer, tpl with my required links?

If these files where manage from the themes/"theme_name"/modules folder I could see how this would be possible. But seeing as thought these .tpl files are in the "root/modules/" folder, I am unsure how to do this.

Any help would be great...

The simple way, ( pretty sure), is to copy the modules in modules folder to your themes module folder...

this say you will not need to rename them.

this of course assumes you have separate theme folder by domain.

I know this works with the mail directly, i.e. copy to theme so you can have mail by domain(theme)

That works great elpatron, much easier then my inventive way...!

So it seems that if there is a module in the themes/"theme_name"/modules folder then it ignors that module from the root/modules folder. Tell me, could this also be a work-around for when I am updating my version of PS? Currently if I update my PS my "root/modules/categories" folder gets overwritten and I have to apply my custom mods again. If I always have this module in my themes folder will this prevent this issue for me?

Thanks for your help...
