Zwirko
Whenever I make a modification to a .tpl file, the changes to the page appear when the browser is refreshed even though the template cache is set to "never recompile template files". The page loads quickly, suggesting to me that the templates are not being compiled at each page load. Why are the changes to the .tpl files showing up in this manner? This wasn't happening last night, but is this morning - and i don't recall changing anything between than and now,
vekia
Not quite understood what you mean. You have got: - and all changes appear? Am I right?
Zwirko
Yes, those are the configurations I have in my performance settings. If I go into "product_llist.tpl" (just as an example) and make changes to it, then those changes show up without needing to recompile the templates. As I said, the page loads very quickly, much quicker than if force compile was on, so I don't understand how this is happening. It's actually a very convenient "bug" since I'm still developing my store; however, I'm worried that there may be some underlying problem that may cause problems at some point.
