403 error on front office

Hello!

 

I'm quite new at Prestashop, but have earlier been building websites in PHP and MySQL. As I wish to build an e-commerce website, I recently installed the newest version to use with my website.

 

I've uploaded all files to my FTP-client, connected to my MySQL database and verified that it works. I can access my back-office, but when I try to open the front office, I keep getting a 403 error:

 

"Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /index.php on this server."

I tried to re-install the entire thing, but with same result.

I would sincerely appreciate if anyone could come up with an ingenious solution!

Permissions and ownership errors

A 403 Forbidden error can also be caused by incorrect ownership or permissions on your web content files and folders.

PermissionsRule of thumb for correct permissions:

• Folders: 755
  
• Static Content: 644
  
• Dynamic Content: 700

Sounds strange.. I have never earlier experienced problems when uploading files or editing them, though I used the same FTP server and host.

Now it also seems deny me access to the back office

Would there be any way to solve this?

i think that this is permission issue, have you got an access to the ftp? check chmod for directories and files

Yes, I do have access to my FTP. I've checked the permission, and they seem to be correct: 644 for files and 755 for folders. I can once again access my back-office, but the problem seem to occure whenever I try to access to /index.php

I forgot to mention that it at the end says "Apache Server at www.thepinstriped.dk Port 80

I must admit that as I am fairly new to this, I really have no idea at this very moment of how to solve it..

for me your website works fine ... i checked it a second ago
