Doulas Akula
Hello guys, I have prestashop version 1.4.7.0 installed. I have a problem with my installation because even after uninstalling the send to a friend module about 5 months ago. I still receive unsolicited emails from the module. I get at least an email daily about person x having send a link to person Y. I disabled the module. Could it be internet bots doing this or is it something that can be fixed with ,y hosting provider. Any one with a similar problem ? Any ideas please on how to sort this out. I will appreciate your feedback. Thanks
vekia
This is because bots fill out forms, you need to use module with catpcha or sth similar. Sometimes disabling / uninstalling module don't help in this case, because module files are still on webhost the best thing in this case is to remove unsafe module from modules/ directory
Doulas Akula
Thanks a lot Vekia - its one thing I had not tried yet. I have deleted the two modules in the modules directory of my site. I will monitor and if it works will mark this thread as solved. It normally send me emails about 2 times daily. Thanks.
