crossbar
Hi, We recently set uyp the multistore option on 1.5.3.1. Our customers now cannot log-in from Front Office. Back Offcie fine. Password changes from back-offcie have no effect. Checked Back Offcie all customers still present. Checked dbase tables all customers still present. On login any user receive this message ( in pink box) There is 1 error Authentication failed. Has anyone experienced this. we are at a loss to explain it. As customers cannot login we are under significant pressure. Any advice, suggestions appreciated.

djmonkeyboy
From what I've seen on this topic in the past it is usually a cookie issue, try and have customers clear cookies to your site and or try to login on different web browsers.
vekia
yes, it might be the problem. i've got also question, are you able to register new accout and then log in ? can you try?
queenmedea
I have registered and can login with my registration details. I also just cleared cookies and logged in with an old account and it worked. Thanks so much. But it leaves me to question why this happened and how I need to communicate this to clients who are failing to login. I appreciate all your help! vekia
are you sure that other customers also have the same problems? Maybe it was related only to your browser?
queenmedea
It happened on different computers in different locations so it wasn't just my browser. No idea why it happened.
vekia
weirdy, maybe this issue was related to the prestashop cache. Now old cache gone and everything works well. It's hard to say what's going on. What about different locations login process? Are you able to test it?
Sara Bredell
Hi I have the same problem. I can create an account (get logged in) but after logging out and then trying to log in again I get this error: There is 1 error Authentication failed.I have cleared casche and cookies, also tried with diffrernt browsers (IE 10 and Google Chrome) but get the same error. I can see the accout in back office and change the password but it still doesen´t work. If I delete the account and re create it, I can log in (get logged in) but after logging out I have the same problem again. I don´t have a live shop right now I´m working in localhost. Should that be different?

RobdelRey
Hello! we are experiencing a similar problem. We could not login from back office (panel). We have been asking for a new password for days and got no answer at all. What do you suggest?
