Have tried to do a database backup

but my pictures on goods will not be included in the backup

how can I ensure that they are safe too?

Hi,

All pictures are stored in img folder.

I can not update my prestashop with 1 click

Therefore, I would back up all my data with images also make a new instalation of PS

If I download a backup of the entire shop on the server will it not fail when I updated the shop and located the old files back out there?

You can use this guide for manual upgrade.

 

No, if you will create a full backup (Database + Files) it won't fail
