Upgrading Prestashop from 1.3.1.1 -> 1.4.10.0

Hey Everyone,

 

I've just attempted a significant upgrade of one of my Prestashop clients from 1.3.1.1 -> 1.4.10.0. This is the second PRE-1.4 shop I've attempted to upgrade and I've had much the same results.

 

The front page appears to display acceptably but if I click on any link/category/product or go to any other front end URL there is the shell of the theme but no content. This is very frustrating as the upgrade appears to work smoothly but this issue seams rather fundamental.

 

I don't know where to start trying to fix this problem any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've had a break through... It's the Templating engine. in 1.4 it defaults to v3 not what it was in the previous version. Setting the SMARTY version to v2 in the settings corrects this problem.
