[solved] Traslate word

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I have a shop built with version 1.5.3 of Prestashop. My shop is in 4 languages. In the Italian version I have left some words that appear in English. I wanted to know where the language file that is where I can translate in Italian the words that are in English.

Examples of words that I have to translate are: QUICK OVERVIEW, RELATED PRODICTS, DEFAULT WELCOME MSG!, REGISTER, WISHLIST, NEW PRODUCTS.

Best regards.

Hi there,

you should be able to translate them from the translations tab (localization->translations).

Open the select box and select "translation of installed modules" and lastly click your flag. Be sure you open all fieldsets, then look for the missing words.

If you added the translation and it's not applying, or the text is not appearing, chances are the string is broken in the template (quotes issue). That's likely to happen if you use a custom template

Cheers!

Hi!,

my site is in 4 languages. In Italian the words of some forms were in English while I'm supposed to translate into Italian. I tried to translate from:

Localization ---> Translate

but I can not. Tell me exactly where to go in the files (FTP) to do the translation manually?

Best regards.

Hi Nemo1 :) ,

I did not understand what to do. Could you explain in more detail the procedure? What should I do exactly?

For example I've to traslate the word "Default welcome msg!" , "Register" , "Wishlist" present in the header of my site.

I have to translate them in Italian. How exactly do I do in these files. Dwt? (FTP).

Best regards

Uh? So you're using a custom theme, since the wishlist is not there bydefault. Can you open up the blockuserinfo.tpl file (theme folder/modules/blockuserinfo) and copy here the texts related to those ones? With all the code in brackets
