How can I create a download link on my Prestashopsite 1.5 for free software

I am a distributor for a software program. I will be getting a link for my Prestashop website (1.5) from the supplier, for a free edition of the software, that can be downloaded by anyone. Of course I like to have basic information back, from the person / business that will be downloading it for further contact. I am trying to make this as simple as it can be for the person that wants to do the download.

Can anyone please help me by explaining how to create a download link in my website for this free download. Thank you so much.
