PrestaToys
Good day everyone, Can anyone explain why there is a HeaderBlock and a TopofPageBlock on the default theme? What are the differences? Thanks
Paulito
I assume header block is where your logo etc lives and top of page is below that Paul
PrestaToys
that was quick... thanks Paul. But when I moved the Quick Search Block is seems to be listed in both displayHeader and displayTop. The same with theUserblockinfo, the Shopping cart, the currency and the contact/sitemap I don't know why they would need to be listed twice. Also, I want to move all of that out of there...worst place for it... looks bad, in my opinion Seems tough to do, as if they are anchored or glued to those hooks
Paulito
It's not really that they are listed twice but it is where you can place them/move them to what ps version are you using? Paul
PrestaToys
I am using version 1.5.
Paulito
Go to Modules > Positions > in the drop down box on the left find the module you require .> scroll down to the module > click the check box on the left > click transplant a module > on the next page that appears click the drop down box "Hook Into" to transplant the module Or if you do not want or require these modules just disable them Paul
PrestaToys
Thanks Paul, I did that and it worked for the search, but could not transplant the User block Info module... for instance. I will dig deeper and find a way... I have the will. Thanks for the advice and the help. Cheers!
vekia
header section is for scripts and css styles, top block is for displaying blocks thats the main difference. Modules sometimes uses own css / scripts, so the best place to insert them is header section :-)
