delvedesign
Ok so here's another problem I'm having with prestashop. This time it's totally beyond me. I tried to install my own theme on a new prestashop installation. The theme ONLY has CSS modifications and no HTML changes at all. I uploaded the new theme to the themes folder and when I go into the BO and select the new theme and then try to preview it by going to the store FO all I get is a white screen. Now, I thought this was due to an error in my theme files. BUT, and here's the BIG BUT, I made a copy of the default prestashop theme and renamed it to 'prestashop-test' and selected it in the BO. Guess what, it didn't work! It throws up a white page too. So what on earth could the problem be? Theme folder is CHMOD 755 recursively. Using version 1.4.8.2 The funny thing is everything works fine on a shared server but on this dedicated server Prestashop is a pain in the bum.
