brigarkee
I have just started using Prestashop a little over a month ago, and I'm getting a little worried to run my first upgrade to 1.5.4. I have seen multiple issues with this upgrade, not that updating scripts is without it's problems, but I am so new to this software that I would prefer to wait if there is going to be another update for the update... I hope that makes sense. Can anyone tell me if these issues I've seen multiple times over on this board are just something I'm going to have to plan on having as well if I do this update, or is there something else coming out shortly that will be less painful? ... And, if I just need to upgrade to this stable version, can anyone tell me, other than making sure my website is backed up, what exactly I should make sure is in place, with whatever, be it one click or anything that could affect how this upgrade processes. It is sooooo much appreciated. Thank you for your time!
bellini13
You should always expect to encounter problems, and prepare accordingly. Golden rule... always backup before you make changes, and never make changes to your live store, without having tested them first. Silver rule...create a duplicate copy of your site and always make and test changes here first. If things work properly on the test site, then they will likely work properly on the live store.
