mohamadeffazuan Posted April 3, 2013 Share Posted April 3, 2013 Hi all, Currently I'm using PS 1.5.1 and I want to update to version 1.5.4, but I'm afraid if I update to the latest version, the setting and all the coding changes that I made before will revert back to normal. NemoPS Posted April 3, 2013 Share Posted April 3, 2013 Hi, If you hardcoded your changes in your core files, well yes, they'll disappear. The only way to go would be installing 1.5.4 locally, then copy over the modifications, upgrade to 1.5.4 your modified version and replace those files from the ones of the newly modified 1.5.4. To your knowledge, what kind of changes could be preserved when using the override directories and what are the correct paths for these directories? Thank you! NemoPS Posted May 11, 2013 Share Posted May 11, 2013 Basically, you should keep a copy of your old, entire override folder, then simply copy it over the new installation once the upgrade is done.
