Updating paid modules from prestashop addons

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

i need an advice cause i can't find any solution using normal channels.

I bought a bundle of 2 addons called "marketing pack" on the official prestashop addons page, both the modules are developed and provided by prestashop (my newsletter and cart abandonment). Both the modules at the version in marketing pack were extremely buggy, so it's months i'm trying to contact in any way possible to get and update or a solution. No answer at all, not an email, nothing. I don't find this a correct behaviour, the modules are not free as prestashop itself and i've paid for them. At least an answer to the emails should be sent. If you can suggest another way or channel of communication i would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

working on a customers' site I have got the chance to test this "mynewsletter" module, which appears to be buggy.

It crashes with the very first newsletter send.

When sending in scheduled (batch mode) you easily see it crashes by activating errors display by putting:

                    @ini_set('display_errors', 'on');

at the beginning of the send() function at line 1078 of mynewsletter.php

It seems the module just extracts from database a newarly empty newsletter object, and pulls just empty data from it, so it crashes at line 1161 when calling the save() method.

If anybody has experienced this and found a solution, or if you can recommend an alternate module to use, this would be handy.

Of course I'll update this topic as soon as I get new from Presta's Support.

OK I finally managed to open a supprot ticket. the support request form doesn't seem to work very well either.. as soon as you type in more than 3 or 4 lines of text you get an "Invalid message" error. This would need some attention too.

I'll wait for the support reply, thanks.
