Porpoise
I'm rapidly losing confidence in this shopping cart. Having spent months customising the default theme (copied and renamed) and uploading all the products and bug-fixing etc. It seems we are falling at the last hurdle - getting the blasted payment modules working correctly. Both the EUR200 Worldpay module and the latest (v.3.4.7) Paypal Module are failing to reach the order confirmation page on return from Worldpay/Paypal. At first, the latest Paypal module worked for a couple of transactions but when I came back to it, it was displaying the same problem as the previous version and the Worldpay and Cheque Modules. In addition, when checking the "agree to terms" checkbox, instead of bringing up the list of payment options, it now goes straight to a Paypal confirmation page with a button which does nothing. I have come to the conclusion that there is some really bizarre coding going on here. If we can't get this fixed before Midnight Sunday 31.03.2013 we will no longer have an operational site (as the existing osCommerce one will stop working when PHP4 is switched off on the server!) Thanks Prestashop! Months of wasted effort down the drain and we still have to find another cart and start all over again if the Prestashop support are going to do nothing to fix this. How difficult can it be? Just get the customer to the order confirmation screen FFS! EDIT: Finally solved the issue with bellini13's help - it turned out to be an override in another module that was causing the problem. Still a bit miffed with the total lack of support from the Prestashop Team for a paid module but that does not detract too much from the fact that Prestashop is, on the whole, a pretty good system. Hopefully, the v.1.5.4 will eventually solve most of the other issues people have been experiencing and, once I've had a break from all this, I'll start looking at it as a potential upgrade. Porpoise
Am currently attempting an upgrade to v.1.5.4 from v.1.5.2 on a copy of the shop but even that isn't working properly! I am getting the following error: [Ajax / Server Error] textStatus: "error" errorThrown:"Internal Server Error" jqXHR: ""
christmascrackers
I'm running PS 1.5.4.0 and PayPal module 3.4.6 and it isn't working. Customers have been calling saying they've paid with the cc on PayPal but there's no confirmation and the orders don't go through or get paid. God knows how much business I've lost. I've just upgraded to PP 3.4.7 and someone is going to try and pay for a test order now. If it doesn't work I'm ditching PS and going to Bluepark to pay for a hosted ecommerce solution. I've spent so much time and money on this and I'm at my wits end with it. Good luck, I hope you get your problems worked out.
El Patron
when you have something that works for the majority but you can't get it to work and you spend hordes of time pulling you hair out...and before giving up the ship....why not just hire someone to fix it for you.....there are some great talents in this community that do great work for very little money....(I don't do personal work)....I'd contact tomerg, nemo1, bellini...but you can't be jack of all trades and master of none..

How does one go about contacting someone to fix The Worldpay and Paypal Modules? EDIT: And who would be the person most likely to be able to fix the Payment Modules? NemoPS
If it's not going back (at all?), or it's leading to a 404 page, it's likely because the return URL parameter has eben screwed up. I'd help you directly (as elpatron said) but I don't have enough time at the moment. Just hire a developer, and tell him it *might* be the return url. Cheers! christmascrackers
I've managed to place a test order with the latest updates so it appears to work my end for now.

It's getting back to the site and generating the order but not reaching the order_confirmation page - it just hangs with a blank page.
Porpoise
The Worldpay one is the one I'd really like to get to work, as we have invested money in setting up a Worldpay account and their transaction fees are cheaper and they include Paypal in the setup anyway. Porpoise
Problem now solved thanks to bellini13's help, for a very reasonable fee. It seems that the problem was caused by an override in another module! For me, it was money well spent and our site is now live and accepting orders: http://apnea.co.uk Edited April 1, 2013 by Porpoise (see edit history)
