hfrystak
Ok, It's been a little while (a couple of years) since I tried to connect to a mySQL database and I'm having issues. So Here's where I'm at: * kept server as localhost * entered both database and user names in the username_databasename fomat that Hostgator uses * entered the password that I gave username_databaseuser (not the password that I used for entering cPanel) * Set the engine to MyISAM * Left the tables prefix as ps_ I know that what's wrong is something simple, but it's not coming to me. Any ideas? I'm on HostGator. Thanks Heather Edited March 28, 2013 by hfrystak (see edit history)
hfrystak
Did I mention that it was something simple? Yeah - I created the user, but I didn't assign the user to the database. Did I mention that I haven't done this in a while ;-) Hope this helps someone else. Heather
