[SOLVED] Shipping Problem

I have two problems:

 

1) I have created a carrier in the shipping settings and when I create a new customer and try to checkout it says "there is no carrier for this address". But there is a carrier, because I just created it for the UK.

 

2) If I try to add a new address to an already existing customer account I get the error 1: This country requires a state selection. But that's WRONG because the country selected is the UK and we don't have states in the UK and there's no option for enabling or disabling states for the UK in the BO.

 

I'm using version 1.4.9.

 

Any ideas?

Look to shipping countries find your county and edit at the bottom there is a check box for contains states yes or no.

Make sure that your zone is enables and that the carrier has you zone checked under carrier edit.

Once you have added the carrier, you also have to set price or weight ranges. Then you have to set the pricing for those ranges. Not sure if you did that yet.

This is only necessary if you created your own shipper and did not use a module.

Just wanted this to be clear to any one else who may read this.
