Caballo Renoir
Hi, I am trying to change the default icons appearing when you go to 'My account' page but I can't. These GIF files are in this folder: /themes/clean-simple/img/icon/ These are the files: addrbook.gif home.gif order.gif slip.gif userinfo.gif voucher.gif I've uploaded new images but I still see the old ones! Any idea why this happens? Thanks in advance! Ernesto. Edited April 4, 2013 by Caballo Renoir (see edit history)
parsifal
Could it be that your browser displays the older version of the icons from its cache? I would clear the browser's cache and reload the page. Better yet, do a hard refresh of the page (CTRL+F5 in some browsers, doesn't affect the cached resources from other sites you visited).

The strange thing is that I've cleared the cache of the browser (even try with Firefox), and Control+F5, the old icons still appear!
cocothecat
Done force compile etc?
parsifal
That is strange, indeed! So, I will offer some possible wacky explanations! You should check that none of the following happens, just to be sure: 1. You are replacing the icons from a theme named "clean-simple" without currently using this theme, but another one 2. You think you are replacing the icons with new versions, but you are uploading the old versions again 3. Your FTP client fails silently and the new icons are never uploaded Edited March 27, 2013 by parsifal (see edit history)

I still see the old ones! 1.- For sure I am using this theme (I even open up the image in a new tab and I see the exact folder where the GIFs are located). 2.- Downloaded the updated GIFs and these are the ones I want to use. 3.- Filezilla uploaded the files correctly, for sure. I am used to change things in my shops and very aware about what to do to see the changes asap (browser caché, PS caché and force recompile, etc.) I'm very confused about this! More ideas? Thanks in advance! E
cocothecat
Have you tried to upload them inside the theme and main route folder? Sure its not a local cache?
Whispar1
I'm sure you did this but just in case, the new images you uploaded have the exact same file name as the original images you are replacing?

Yes, same name. The only difference is the size (a little bit bigger).

It sounds like a hosting problem to me, give it 12 hours Well depending on your theme, you have the images with modules, yout theme img and the prestashop default image folder also

I've checked other possible routes (default theme) before, nothing... BTW, your website is pretty nice!

Whispar1
I was able to swap out the history icon for another one from the same page (see screen) This doesn't mean much because its being done with chrome tools. Unless there is something overriding the images you put in each time "my account" is accessed, I am not sure what is going on without looking at the server files. You can pm if you wish and I can take a quick peek.

Whispar1
I noticed there are 2 directories (www and public_html) that have the same files. I downloaded slip.gif from the server and it is indeed the image you created. I saved and uploaded it to the icon folder on both www and public_html but still the old image shows. Your my-account.tpl looks fine (where the images are called from) and there is nothing in your .htaccess file that would be doing this that I can see. I am thinking this might be a cache-control issue on the server side. CoCo maybe can comment on this because he has more experience on server-side issues. cocothecat
Ok after looking strange indeed. Id take out .gif.OLD and renamed them to home(old).gif I uploaded my own icon and IT still did not updated. So there is some kind of cache going on ... 1. Within Prestashop (please try turning cache on and off and force compile) 2. Its a server cache issue. - So I would go back to your host and report the problem to them and see what they say. I think option 2 is the best way as thats the only thing I can see. Even the direct image path takes me to the old image, and its not seeing a new image :/
