Paypal API error - over 200 emails

I have received 208 emails in 5 minutes from my website earlier today.

 

The error is,

A client has encountered a problem with the module PayPalAPI, see the report:

 

I cannot find any log but looking at the server log, the emails coinside with the linguee.bot crawling the site. The robots.txt file contains, Disallow: /*modules/ but it looks like it is stil getting crawled.

Am I correct and has anyone else had this issue?
