Since1953
Perhaps this is covered in another post, but I couldn't find any while searching for it (sorry if there is). I have been spending the past two days trying to upgrade from 1.5.0.17 to 1.5.3 and I have been able to get most everything working, but there's always something that doesn't work right. I am now back on 1.5.0.17 and am finding some other problems so that I think going back to 1.5.3 would be the better option. My question is this: how do I back up everything (including the PHP/MySQL files) and then how do I set up a test site to try it? I have backed everything up via ftp and that's been my saving grace. Is there a way to do that with the PHP/MySql? Here's what I'm using: Host: Bluehost test site: www.mydomain.com/Test/public_html actual site: www.mydomain.com/ Any comments, direction (to other posts), anything, would be appreciated. Thank you! vekia
you should: 1) overwrite all new files with your backuped files 2) truncate mysql tables and import old database thats all :-)
