FreshElement
I've spent the last several hours searching the forum and reading the posts I could find about the AutoUpgrade. Here's my situation... We've developed a custom website for a client and used PrestaShop as the cart for the site. In fact, there are 2 installations on the site because he ships to both US and Canadian customers. When we created the site, the current version of PS was 1.4.4.1. We've customized both carts to have the same look and feel as the site. My question is two-fold... 1. Will the AutoUpgrade work for 1.4.4.1 to 1.5.3? I've downloaded the latest version of the AutoUpgrade module. I notice that when I log into the cart, the dashboard says the latest version is ready for upgrade... 1.4.10. Does that mean that's all I can upgrade to? 2. If I do upgrade to 1.5.3 successfully, is there a way to transfer the mods that we've made so that the cart will look as it did before? If these questions are answered elsewhere, I apologize. I've tried searching for them using every keyword / keyphrase I can think of with little luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We have a number of clients that are e-commerce and, for most of them, we've installed a PrestaShop cart, most are NOT 1.5. So, this info would be helpful in upgrading them as well. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide... Clem
bellini13
the best thing is to take a complete backup of the store and database, install them to a subfolder or on your local computer using WAMP, and try to upgrade to see what happens. the autoupgrade process is very hit and miss. I have performed many upgrades using the manual method (which you can find in the resources menu), with success.
