No states in dropdown when trying to modify address

Hello guys,

 

When a customer is checking out as a guest or is signing up for a new account during checkout the state drop down is populated. But if you are checking out and you are logged in and you click on the "modify address" link, the following screen which shows your current address does not have any states in the drop down. Therefore you can't "save" your information because a state is required.

 

Is this a known bug?? I tried searching the forums but couldn't find anything.

Hey Alex, I've seen this issue a while ago. From what I can test it's fixed in the latest version.

 

I can modify address at checkout while logged in and still find the state field to change.

I am running 1.5.2 so was it fixed after that?? Also, if it's fixed do you know what file and code caused the issue? I don't want to upgrade to 1.5.3

Anyone have any ideas?

 

My "states" drop down is working when you create a new account, etc just not when you're trying to update your address.

Hi ajensen27, yes this was fixed in 1.5.3 and continued to the new version. I'm not sure what file was changed though.

Is there any way to figure that out? I have customized my shop a lot around 1.5.2 and it will be hard to upgrade to 1.5.4 so I would just like to fix this problem individually.
