Image Updates for Theme lag?

Hey, does anyone else have problems updating Theme images on Prestashop -- and them not showing up till the next day?

 

Is there an overnight batch run to update the files or what?

 

Or do I need to log out and back in?

 

In particular, I have been trying to test a transparent gif for the Store Icon.

My guess is that your preferences>performances are set so that cache is active and "force compilation" inactive. Usually you need to switch them off when you update a design file so that it's taken into account immediately, and then switch them back on.
