Shopping cart in BO

Hi,

I found in BO in Customers -> Shopping cart a lot of orders, but not approval. What is the reason, that this orders aren't in tab "Orders"? Any technical problems? Or sth else?

This feature shows all carts created in your store, creating a cart isn't similar to order, for example you can add products to cart but you can leave cart and go out from shop it works exactly the same, it is called "abandoned cart"

But, sometimes I try to add products to the cart, leave page and f.e. clear cookies. And I don't have any new orderd in shopping cart. Why?

you mean that you create a cart, add products to it, and clear bowser cache, then, when you check customers -> shopping carts in BO you cant find it?

Just to add my two cents, Customers>Shopping Carts can be very useful. It shows you what customers put items in the carts but did not order.

 

This is a great marketing opportunity, as many people buy back with an "Abandoned Cart" email. You can entice your customers to buy by giving a slight discount to these users if you have received their email.

 

Back on topic: Shopping Cart's and Orders are two separate things. Not all shopping carts turn into orders. However, all orders contain a shopping cart.
