Downloadable instruction

I hope you had great weekend guys.

I got quick question to those who know prestashop more than I do ( this is my first attempt to embrace it ).

I wonder ( and I need to achieve that ) how to add downloadable product's instruction, to let's say product description, and to make it as part of product. Or maybe going further, how to achieve these ie. pdf files were appearing after client will make a purchase. Is there any other than finding add-ons, way to achieve that?

You can create a free downloadable product that automatically adds to cart when another product is present.

This requires some adaptations code.

If you want to add instructions to a product, maybe consider to zip/rar the product and add the instruction file to the zip file?

 

If I misunderstood, please elaborate what you need exactly. Instructions on screen only or so?

I second PascalVG, you can add the instructions as part of the downloadable product.

 

If it is not sensitive information, then you can upload the instructions as a pdf attachment that can be downloaded from the product page, but freely downloadable, not just if a customer purchases the product. It will be there for a guest to download as well. (This is another option)

I haven't reply earlier as I was at work, so sorry for that. Thanks for your responses.

To extend my point, I want to create some easy way for my client to attach product spec, info, instruction, to product which already is in store. I already configure this store to be private, so only registered, approved customers are able to make a purchases. This is very specialised audience, with some technical knowledge about this type of products. In short words, product is not for everyone.

So private shop is configured, but I was thinking about adding mentioned earlier additional downloadable info in form of pdf, so person who purchased one of the products has access to downloadable instruction. Or even person who's registered, can have access to page with these downloadable pdf's.

I am not sure about setting these up, as virtual product as this require going through checkout process,I think.

@DevNet what exactly need to be modify in order of achieving that (product automatically adding to cart when another product is purchased) ? This sound good to me.
