maxik
Hi all, actually i'm setting up a shop for the business i work - www.prohockey.it (old shop). As you can imagine reading the URL we sell icehockey and inline stuff. While i added products at my demo and test shop i noticed something "basic" that is missing in PS. Every product you add, automatically gets flagged as "NEW" - The time for this flag can be set in the backshop. What if i wanna add a product that is new (as condition), but already outdated because it is a couple of years old? A normal user without coding skills can't do nothing. I have this problem just because we are moving to PS. In Hockey business an item is new just for 8-9 months june 2012 - january/february 2013), then the various manufacturer present the new products for 2013/2014 and the story begins again. -------------------------------------------- OTHER EXAMPLE------------------------------------------------------ Some items for inline hockey are not good/made for ice hockey and viceversa. In our actual shop we can flag the inline items with an image (http://www.prohockey...kat=-1&kat=1527). Now my idea: Wouldn't it be nice to have the possibility to add/remove flags for the personal needs? A sort of dropdown list like for the condition: In backshop you create the name of the flag: example - Below the text field you can upload the image you like. On the global product information there is enough of space to place this dropdownfield - i think the right place for it would be under the condition dropdown list. Since i'm italian and my neglish is not so good i hope that everyone understood what i've written. I would do this changes myself but unfortunately i can't code. Other then that it would be nice even for other shops operators Edited March 14, 2013 by maxik (see edit history)
vekia
your idea is great but it isn't as simple as it seems. In this case changing classes & db are necessary. I'm curious what other developers think about your idea
maxik
Is there any "international" suggestion forum where all developers look and discuss about new implemenations? A thread like this would benefit to be there...here it goews to page 2 after a couple of hours and then it get's forgotten Edited March 14, 2013 by maxik (see edit history)
